DSG Olympic Cup Challenge!

Challenge your friends, challenge your parents, and challenge yourself! Dudziak’s Parents Association will be sponsoring its first ever Olympic Challenge Cup Games! Friday, May 4^that 6:00 pm, your invited to challenge your skills and abilities at a variety of tasks including long jump, vertical leaps, bar holds, as well as other not-so-traditional challenges. This event is open to the public so bring your friends, family, and toughest competition!

Location: Dudziak’s School of Gymnastics

Cost $10 for first family member, $5 for each additional participant

Must be 5yrs old to participate

The Level 8 “SUPER 7″

Recently, seven of Maine’s top gymnasts have been selected to compete at this year’s Regional competition in Waterville, ME. Formally referred to as the “SUPER 7”, Maine’s Level 8 Dream Team will compete against other top gymnasts from across Region VI (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont). Among the seven gymnasts chosen to represent Maine, four of them hail from Dudziak’s School of Gymnastics.

St. Patty’s Day Diving Clinic

Join us this St. Patty’s Day (Saturday 3/11) for a fun and exciting diving clinic with guest “Coach of the Year” Jerome Manigault. This is a great way to explore the many exciting avenues that gymnastics provides and gives experienced gymnasts a fun activity for the coming summer months. Friends, Friends of Friends, and your Friends Friend’s Friends are all invited to share in as we host a clinic with progressive shape, jump, and balance drills that aid and promote forward and back approach as well as somersault initiation. Register in advance today, or swing by the day of the event…and don’t be afraid to wear some GREEN!

Coach Making A Big Splash…

Congratulations to Tyler Goulden, Dudziak’s coach and current two-time Class A Maine State Diving Champion! On February 21st, Tyler defended his State Diving Title in Orono Maine with a 395.75 point victory. Earlier this year Tyler set a Thornton Academy school record for a six-dive format of 261.85 points and an eleven-dive format of 419, Congrats on his success!

We’d also like to recognize and congratulate Grace Patterson, former Dudziak’s Gymnast, for a top 5 finish in her class diving title.

Parkour Workshop

Join us Saturday, February 18th, for an educational and informational parkour workshop. Closely related to gymnastics, parkour is a physical and challenging activity that focuses on moving around obstacles with speed and efficiency. Whether vaulting, rolling, running, climbing or jumping, this activity is rapidly gaining popularity with youth and young adults.

Join Dudziak’s and lead clinician Mark Nutting, YEOP! creator (Youth Environmental Obsticle Play) and NSCA’s 2009 personal trainer of the year, for an exciting workshop designed to please the masses. See attached flyer for more details.

On January 22, gymnastic clubs from across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts gathered in our facility to compete for top honors in our annual winter-themed competition, the FrostBite Invite. This year’s event delivered some strong competition along with some Maine winter food and fun. Highlights from the competition included some familiar faces as well as some breakout scores from some up-and-coming young talent. A big thanks to all the families involved, and congratulations to all competing gymnasts.

Training isn’t just for athletes!

On December 2nd, Dudziak’s coaches and staff assembled for it’s semi-annual CPR and first aid certification training. With newer advancements in medical technology, CPR continues to be an evolving procedure that requires updates in information and continual hands-on-training to provide the best on-site medical support. We owe much appreciation to Barry Goldsmith, from HeartSafe, for his exceptional training and true-life scenarios.
