Join us Saturday, February 18th, for an educational and informational parkour workshop. Closely related to gymnastics, parkour is a physical and challenging activity that focuses on moving around obstacles with speed and efficiency. Whether vaulting, rolling, running, climbing or jumping, this activity is rapidly gaining popularity with youth and young adults.

Join Dudziak’s and lead clinician Mark Nutting, YEOP! creator (Youth Environmental Obsticle Play) and NSCA’s 2009 personal trainer of the year, for an exciting workshop designed to please the masses. See attached flyer for more details.

On January 22, gymnastic clubs from across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts gathered in our facility to compete for top honors in our annual winter-themed competition, the FrostBite Invite. This year’s event delivered some strong competition along with some Maine winter food and fun. Highlights from the competition included some familiar faces as well as some breakout scores from some up-and-coming young talent. A big thanks to all the families involved, and congratulations to all competing gymnasts.

Dudziak’s Gymnastics is OPEN this Thursday January 12, 2012. Classes will continue at their regularly scheduled times. Maine Stars Cheer classes are cancelled this evening, but tumbling for Maine Stars will take place at its usual time from 6:00-7:00

Hopefully this snow sticks around for our Frostbite Invite next weekend. Anyone interested in seeing some USAG Maine gymnastics is welcome to attend. Give us a call or stop by our main office for more information. See you there.

Training isn’t just for athletes!

On December 2nd, Dudziak’s coaches and staff assembled for it’s semi-annual CPR and first aid certification training. With newer advancements in medical technology, CPR continues to be an evolving procedure that requires updates in information and continual hands-on-training to provide the best on-site medical support. We owe much appreciation to Barry Goldsmith, from HeartSafe, for his exceptional training and true-life scenarios.

Looking for pumpkins this Fall? From now until mid October we’ll be holding a pumpkin frundraising event to benefit the Dudziak’s competitive travel team. With many choices to choose from, have your pick of three pumpkins (small, med, and large) all for just $10! All pumpkins and decorations have been generously donated to us by the Chase Family Farm in Wells, ME.

Browse around and have a look at some of our improvements! Some things of interest; check out our newly added calendar section for dates, times, and events as soon as they arise. Each category is color coded so that you can easily find what dates interest you the most. Clicking on a category at the top of the page will eliminate it from the calendar for even easier locating. Also, by reading this post, we can tell you found our ”Recent News” feed. Here you can find posts and updates about our programs and big business developments. This, in turn, will be a BIG help for sharing important information. Did you know that Dudziak’s helped donate over $18,000 to the Bella Tucker Fund earlier this spring, or that Roxanne, our Head coach, earned the title of Junior Olympic Coach of the Year!? Well, now we have a way to let you know! Keep a close ear to this section and stay current with us.

Finally, photos and our staff section will be more informative and easier to navigate. Dudziak’s Welcomes Maine Stars Cheering!

Dudziak’s would like to welcome Maine Stars Cheering to its 2011-2012 program line-up! Maine Stars Cheer Gym, of South Berwick, will be operating a satellite facility out of Dudziak’s School of Gymnastics, combining nationally recognized cheer instruction with Maine’s leader in gymnastic training.
